Accessibility and Inclusion
Beech Mountain Resort is committed to creating an inclusive environment where all guests can enjoy our Summer Concert Series. We believe live music should be accessible to everyone, and our team works to provide accommodations and assistance whenever possible.
As an outdoor mountainside venue, there are unique challenges that come with the natural terrain of our location. Concert guests should expect a combination of paved surfaces, gravel walkways, grassy areas, and moderate slopes throughout the venue. While we strive to make our concerts as accessible as possible, some accessibility limitations exist due to the natural terrain and layout of the property.
Our Guest Assistance Team is available throughout event days to help guests navigate the venue, answer questions, and provide support. We encourage anyone with accessibility needs to contact us in advance so we can discuss available accommodations and help set expectations for the event experience.
We recognize that accessibility is an ongoing effort, and we welcome feedback from guests as we continue to evaluate and improve our policies, services, and facilities.
Accessible Parking
Accessible parking is available in Lot 1 for guests displaying a valid state-issued disability placard or license plate.
Our team works to accommodate guests with mobility needs and will make every reasonable effort to provide accessible parking upon arrival. Guests requiring additional assistance are encouraged to speak with a member of our Guest Assistance Team.
Due to the outdoor nature of the venue and varying event attendance levels, we recommend arriving early whenever possible.
Arrival Assistance
Members of our Guest Assistance Team are stationed at the venue entrance and are available to assist guests with navigating the concert grounds.
For guests using wheelchairs or those with mobility limitations, our team will make reasonable efforts to provide assistance traveling between accessible parking areas and the concert venue. Volunteer assistance may be available to help push wheelchairs when needed; however, availability may vary depending on event attendance and staffing levels.
Golf cart transportation is also available within designated parking areas for guests who may need additional assistance traveling from parking to the venue entrance. This service is offered on a first come, first served basis and may experience delays during peak arrival and departure times.
Because Beech Mountain Resort is an outdoor mountainside venue, guests should be prepared for gravel walkways, moderate slopes, and uneven terrain throughout portions of the property.
Accessible Seating
An accessible viewing area is located stage left on a flat surface near the front of the venue, providing close access to the performance area.
This section is available for guests who use wheelchairs, guests with mobility limitations, and guests who may have difficulty standing for extended periods of time. A limited number of chairs are maintained within the accessible seating area for guests who require seating accommodations.
One companion is accommodated with the guest requiring accessible seating. Depending on available space and event attendance, up to three companions may also be accommodated. Accessible seating is available on a first come, first served basis and may reach capacity during sold out events.
While we strive to make the concert experience accessible to all guests, much of the general admission viewing area is located on a mountainside and includes sloped terrain, grassy surfaces, and gravel walkways. Guests should consider these conditions when selecting their viewing location.
Guests needing accessible seating are encouraged to arrive early, as seating availability and companion seating may be limited during high-attendance events.
Restrooms
Accessible portable restroom units are available alongside the primary restroom facilities located in Center Village and are accessible throughout the event.
Service Animals
Service animals, as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), are welcome at Beech Mountain Resort concerts.
Service animals must remain under the control of their handler at all times and should be properly trained to perform tasks related to a disability.
Pets, emotional support animals, comfort animals, and therapy animals are not considered service animals under the ADA and are not permitted within the concert venue.
Medications & Medical Supplies
Guests may bring medically necessary medications and medical equipment into the venue.
Prescription medications must be in their original pharmacy-labeled container with the guest’s name clearly displayed and verifiable with a valid photo ID. Please bring only the amount reasonably necessary for the duration of the event.
Over-the-counter medications must remain in their original packaging.
Guests requiring medically necessary supplies that exceed the venue’s standard bag policy may bring those items into the venue. Medical bags and supplies must be declared upon arrival and are subject to security screening. Once screened, security personnel may identify the bag as a medical bag for venue access.
Beech Mountain Resort cannot store medications, refrigerated medications, or medical equipment during the event. Guests are responsible for maintaining possession of all medical items throughout their visit.
Communication Accommodations
Guests requiring accommodations such as sign language interpretation or other communication assistance are encouraged to contact Guest Services at least two weeks prior to the event. While requests are subject to availability, we will make reasonable efforts to accommodate advance requests whenever possible.
Terrain and Venue Conditions
Beech Mountain Resort is an outdoor concert venue located on a mountain. Guests should expect varying terrain throughout the property, including:
• Gravel walkways
• Paved surfaces
• Grassy viewing areas
• Moderate slopes and inclines
• Uneven ground that may vary with weather conditions
Weather conditions, including rain, may impact accessibility in certain areas of the venue.
Not all areas of the concert venue are wheelchair accessible due to the natural mountain terrain. Our team is happy to discuss venue conditions and available accommodations prior to your visit.
Questions or Assistance
If you have questions regarding accessibility accommodations or would like to discuss your specific needs before attending an event, please contact our Guest Services team. We are happy to help determine the best available options to make your concert experience as enjoyable and accessible as possible.
Weather delays can happen at outdoor concerts. If severe weather requires a temporary evacuation, all guests must leave the concert area immediately.
If you’re parked on-site, return to your vehicle. If you’re parked off-site, you’ll be required to leave the concert perimeter until we are cleared to reopen, we recommend seeking shelter at buildings like the Brewery, First Chair, etc.
Sign up for text alerts before arriving. Text alerts are the fastest way to receive weather notifications, reopening information, and other important event updates. Text PARTY26 to 1-855-910-7449.
